Questions about insurance for health & dental benefits

Practical answers for a more useful conversation with a provider.

Does a high reimbursement percentage mean a full bill is covered?

No. Eligible fees, deductibles, service restrictions and remaining maximums can affect payment. Ask for an explanation using the actual proposed wording.

Can I assume my current prescriptions are eligible?

Check directly with the provider through a secure channel. Drug eligibility, limits, exclusions and underwriting differ between plans.

Is this the same as U.S. major medical insurance?

Canadian supplemental benefits and U.S. health plans are different arrangements. Use a provider authorised for your location and compare the appropriate product and eligibility rules.

Does sending an enquiry buy insurance?

No. It asks the network team to respond. Only a suitable provider can confirm an offer, acceptance and the effective insurance arrangement.

Can I enquire from Canada or the United States?

Choose your actual country and province, state or territory. Provider availability and eligibility depend on the market; sending an enquiry does not establish acceptance.

What should I leave out of the form?

Leave out medical records, government IDs, payment details and policy documents. Share general needs here; use a provider’s secure process if sensitive records are later required.
